Arxx™ Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF)
Insulated Concrete Wallsystem
is the new and efficient way to construct homes or commercial projects. Their
new found popularity is well deserved. Insulated Concrete Forms (ICF's) are
made of two layers of polystyrene that surround a layer of concrete in the
middle of the two layers. Holding the insulation together is a patented plastic
X web, This web provides the channel to lock rebar in place inside the wall.
On the outside of the ICF it provides convenient surfaces for quick and efficient
fastening of interior and exterior finishes
Arxx™ is stronger safer, and it also is more energy efficient

Recent studies have shown that, when building with conventional methods, up to 77% of wasted energy dollars comes from three main causes:
1. No matter how carefully you insulate a framed wall, air infiltration may occur though floor connections, joints, the inevitable punctures in the air barrier, and the many gaps which develop between the studs and batt insulation as the batts settle over time due to consolidation.
2. No matter how much you insulate a framed wall, energy loss can occur though the studs that are placed every 16 or 24 inches.
3. In your basement energy loss often occurs because basement walls are normally built with little or no insulation.

· Arxx™ walls are unified, monolithic, unbroken by air spaces or studs and have zero air infiltration.

An STC (Sound Transmission Class) rating is measured of acoustical performance of wall partitions. The higher the STC rating, the lower the volume of sounds between rooms. Arxx™ carries a STC rating of 50, which is much higher than the STC ratings of traditional homes.

· Less trees are used when constructing with Arxx™, whereas a traditionally framed home typically consumes up to 50 trees.
· Relatively little waste is produced during the construction of an Arxx™ home. And all Arrx™ remnants are recyclable.
· Absolutely no harmful CFCs and HCFs are used in the manufacturing process of the Arxx™ Wallsystem.
· By using less energy to heat and cool the household, Arrx™ homes help control the amount of energy being consumed, consequently contributing in the fight against global warming.
